Program Information
Admission Requirements
To be admitted into the program, you must meet the following requirements (addresses and contact numbers for Graduate College and Harrah Hotel College graduate office below):
1. Submission of completed online application form and required application fee. To start the online application process go to:

2. Submission of two sets of official transcripts from all institutions attended after high school, with one set to be sent to the UNLV Graduate College and one to the Harrah Hotel College graduate office. See addresses below.
3. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university with an overall undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 in the last two years of undergraduate work.
4. Three years of full-time experience in management or administrative capacity in the hospitality industry.
5. Two letters of recommendation, one from your current employer and the other from a college faculty member able to evaluate your potential for success in a graduate degree program. If you have not been in a college program in the last six years, a letter from a former employer may be substituted for the second letter. Letters should be sent directly to the Harrah Hotel College graduate office.
6. A “Statement of Purpose” essay of approximately 500 words explaining your career goals and why you are pursuing a graduate degree. This should be sent directly to the Harrah Hotel College graduate office.
7. A resume. This should be sent directly to the Harrah Hotel College graduate office.
8. International students need to provide English literacy scores and a financial certification. Minimum scores are as follows: IELTS: minimum score 7.0; EBT minimum score 79/89; TOEFL written test, minimum score 550; TOEFL computerized test minimum score 213. These items should be sent directly to the UNLV Graduate College.
9. All students, even those outside the United States, must have documentation of having had the required immunizations including a tetanus shot in the past ten years and shots for measles, mumps and rubella. Failure to have this documentation on-file will result in the “freezing” of one’s records and an inability to register for the following semester. Documentation of immunizations should be sent to the UNLV Graduate College.
NOTE: Students are not required to take the GRE or the GMAT for entry into this program
